The Fresno Pizzapocalypse is Still Alive!

Actually it needs some fire!

Remember a while ago I wrote about the Great Fresno Pizzapocalypse? If not here are some links to the past posts, here, here, and here.

Well, the fire has died down due to me not keeping the flame lit, but I’m back and on a course to make this dream a reality with your help.

The way I figure it we need something more than just being famous for our pizza to relit the flame, so I thought about something.

What if we come up with a plan to donate some of the proceeds from the sale of this famous pizza we’re going to create towards a worthy local non-profit nominated and voted by you the population of Fresno and Fresno County?

In fact, I’ve been thinking we should open this contest to all pizza parlors within Fresno County, not just Fresno. I mean we are in Fresno County and every pizza shop within the County should be involved, right?

So with that thought, we’re opening up the contest to every pizza shop within the County beginning now. That should get the flame going and with that, we want everyone out there to get out there and challenge their favorite pizza shop to create the Famous Fresno Pizza that we can all be proud of while doing something good for a local charity. Or maybe it’s two or three charities who knows?

But I can’t do this alone. I’ve been talking to every pizza shop I frequent and they all seem to like the idea, but we need more exposure. We need television, radio, and whoever else can get the word out about this endeavor.
