Saturday Thoughts on Substack and Videos

Video direct from your Iphone or other device

The other day I applied to join the Beta testing of a new video service Substack is planning to introduce.

I was excited to learn they will make it possible to upload directly from an iPhone or other device.

As of now, you can upload your videos from YouTube or Vimeo, which I use neither.

I am uploading recipe/cooking videos on the NewsBreak App under the name Mark-John Clifford (click for videos, click for writing). There are two accounts, one where I write, and the other is where I share the videos.

I’m not too fond of YouTube or Vimeo for personal reasons, and I don’t use Facebook either.

This new product that Substack is testing is a game-changer for people like me who make videos on their mobile devices and want to upload them to a site.
