NOTE:
I know I mentioned this the other day, but just a reminder I lost a ton of my cooking videos on my iPhone. I have no idea where they went, and the only evidence I have are the videos posted on NewsBreak.
I’ll be linking those videos in the next few posts hoping you don’t mind?
Here we go…
This was from a year ago, but I’ll be making this again this year since it’s what she always orders for her birthday along with spaghetti and meatballs. I’ll be posting a meatball video soon!
There is nothing like making some bread to relieve a little stress or just for its fun. In this case, it was for our grandaughters13th birthday. She ordered fettuccine alfredo with garlic bread but wanted my homemade bread. It all starts with the 'BIGA', a cup of flour with a bit of yeast and water sitting in a bowl for about 12-18 hours. Then 3 cups of flour, a tablespoon of yeast, some salt, and warm water, and then it's time to mix.
I didn't video each rise, but so you know there were four rises altogether. Each rise I pulled the bread as in the first rise on this video. A very hydrated bread will give you the nooks and crannies you want in your bread. Now on to making the garlic butter for the spread and broiling the finished product for tonight's dinner.
Buon Appetito!
